Lake Havasu City never really slows down, and fall 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest stretches of the year. From poker runs and water races to farmers markets and First Fridays downtown, there's a reason to get out on the boat, load up the patio, or just cruise down McCulloch Boulevard almost every week. We pulled together the highlights from Go Lake Havasu, the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce, and RiverScene Magazine so you can start planning your fall calendar now.
First Fridays Are Back at Main Street Commons
Downtown's newest gathering spot, Main Street Commons, kicked off its Season 8 First Friday series on September 4th with live music from Elective Theatre and Desert Blokes running 6–9 p.m. If you haven't checked out the revamped Main Street Commons space yet, First Friday is the perfect low-key excuse — expect this to become a recurring monthly draw all season long.
Lake Havasu Farmers Market, Every Saturday
The Lake Havasu Farmers Market at The KAWS on McCulloch Boulevard runs every Saturday morning, bringing together local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and artisans from across Arizona. It's a great weekly stop for fresh produce and handmade goods, and it's walkable from most of downtown if you're already out enjoying the waterfront.
Community and Family Events Fill Out September
September is packed with community gatherings worth noting:
Havasu All Abilities Resource Fair – Aquatic Center, September 5th
Family Fun Night at the Library, Celebrating America 250 – September 10th
9/11 Ceremony – London Bridge Beach, September 11th
Don't Be Greedy Nonprofit Cirque de Masquerade Charity Gala – Convention Center at London Bridge Resort, September 11th
Grace Arts Live presents Trolls the Musical Jr. – September 11th
Check RiverScene Magazine's event calendar throughout the month, since new listings are added regularly as local organizations finalize their fall schedules.
The Big One for Boaters: SBT IJSBA World Finals, October 3–11
Lake Havasu City has hosted the IJSBA World Finals every single year since 1982, and the 45th annual Short Block Technologies World Finals returns October 3–11 at Red Rock Waterside (formerly Crazy Horse Campgrounds). This is the world championship of personal watercraft racing, drawing competitors from dozens of countries for stand-up and runabout racing plus the always-popular freestyle exhibitions. Spectator admission is free, and the channel gets packed with boats and PWCs watching the action from the water — so if you're planning to be out on the lake that week, expect heavier-than-usual traffic on the water and plan accordingly. Seam Dreams is your go-to local boat upholstery shop.
Desert Bash & Off-Road Poker Run, December 4–6
Later in the year, the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce brings back its signature off-road event, the Desert Bash & Off-Road Poker Run, at Standard Wash. This 64-mile course draws hundreds of vehicles and over a thousand participants for a weekend of camping, live entertainment, and desert adventure. While it's not a boating event, it's a great example of how Havasu's community calendar keeps rolling well past summer.
Get Your Boat and Patio Ready for Fall on the Water
Whether you're heading out to watch the IJSBA World Finals, cruising the channel for First Friday, or just enjoying cooler fall evenings on the patio, now's the time to make sure your gear can keep up. Sun, dust, and the occasional monsoon squall take a toll on boat covers, upholstery, and outdoor furniture here in Lake Havasu City — and worn-out canvas or cracked vinyl has a way of showing up right before the event you were most looking forward to.
Seam Dreams has you covered — literally. We build custom boat covers and bimini tops designed specifically for life on Lake Havasu, along with boat upholstery and patio furniture upholstery that can stand up to the desert sun season after season. If your gear needs a refresh before the fall event lineup kicks into high gear, contact Seam Dreams today for a quote on boat covers, boat upholstery, or patio furniture upholstery.
